Step by step
1. Free consultation
In-home and showroom consultations are available, and we can typically schedule an estimate within 24 hours. A specialist reviews your windows, brings fabric samples and recommends products, mount type and controls.
2. Written estimate
Your written estimate or proposal typically follows in around 3 business days, depending on the complexity of the project. More complex projects can take up to approximately 10 business days.
3. Professional measuring & order review
We measure every window precisely, which is strongly recommended for inside-mount shades and motorized systems. Our Brooklyn team then reviews every order to confirm sizes, fabric and options before production.
4. Installation
Most residential installations are completed in a single visit. Motorized shades take a little longer while we pair them with remotes, hubs or your smart home system.
Measuring yourself
You can measure your own windows. Measure the width and height at three points each, then use the smallest width and the longest height for inside mounts. For outside mounts, add overlap on each side for better light control.
An inside mount fits within the window frame for a clean, built-in look and needs enough depth for the hardware. An outside mount installs on the wall or trim above the window, covers the frame and blocks more light.
