Motorized Blinds

Wood, faux wood and aluminum blinds that tilt and lift at the touch of a button, quietly and precisely.

Overview

Classic blinds, effortless control

Motorized blinds keep everything people love about blinds, the clean slats and the fine-tuned light control, and remove the cords and wands. Tilt the slats for soft daylight, raise them for the view, or close them for privacy from a remote, an app or your voice.

Apollo fits quiet battery or hardwired motors to custom blinds made to your exact measurements, then installs and programs them so every blind in the room moves together.

Motorized Blinds

Custom Motorized Blinds That Lift and Tilt on Command

Motorized blinds do two jobs: they raise and lower like any blind, and they tilt the slats to fine-tune light and privacy without moving the blind at all. A quiet motor in the headrail handles both, so you can angle the slats for soft daylight, close them for privacy or raise the blind fully for the view.

Custom-made to your measurements, with consultation and installation throughout New York City. We fit battery or hardwired motors to wood, faux wood and aluminum blinds, then install and program them so every blind in a room moves together.

Why Motorized Blinds Work

  1. 01

    Two kinds of control

Tilt for light and privacy, raise for the view, from the same remote or app.

  2. 02

    Repeatable slat angles

Save a favorite tilt and return to it with one tap.

  3. 03

    No cords or wands

A cleaner look and safer rooms for children and pets.

  4. 04

    Grouped rooms

Every blind in a room tilts and lifts together for even light.

  5. 05

    Quiet operation

Smooth, low-noise motors suited to bedrooms and offices.

Slats & Motor Options

Slat materials and sizing

Wood
Real hardwood slats with natural grain for a warm, classic look.
Faux wood
Moisture-resistant slats for kitchens, bathrooms and humid rooms.
Aluminum
Slim, modern slats with a crisp profile and lasting durability.
Slat width
Wider slats give a more open view when tilted; narrower slats suit smaller windows and shallow frames. We recommend widths for each window.

Motors and controls

Battery or hardwired
Battery motors need no wiring; hardwired motors suit renovations and new construction.
Remote and wall switch
Lift, lower and tilt one blind or a group.
App and schedules
Set tilt positions and automate them through the day.
Smart home
Voice and automation through supported smart-home platforms.

Privacy & Light Control

Tilting gives blinds a level of control that shades can't match. Slats angled upward send daylight toward the ceiling and keep the view from outside blocked; slats level let in light and the view; slats closed give privacy. Gaps at the slat ends and route holes mean blinds are not fully blackout, so pair them with drapery where darkness is essential.

  • Daytime

Tilt slats up for glare-free light and privacy from the street.

  • Evening

Close slats on a schedule as the lights come on inside.

Where Motorized Blinds Shine

  • Living rooms

Adjust light through the day without getting up.

  • Kitchens and bathrooms

Faux wood or aluminum slats that handle humidity.

  • Bedrooms

Slats that close on a schedule for privacy and rest.

  • Home offices

  • Boardrooms and offices

Uniform slat angles across a whole row of windows.

Care & Maintenance

  • Close the slats and dust with a soft cloth or duster, then tilt the other way and repeat.
  • Wipe faux wood and aluminum slats with a damp cloth; keep real wood dry.
  • Charge or replace batteries when the blind slows or the app shows a low battery.
  • Contact us to reset limits or tilt positions rather than forcing the slats by hand.

Measuring & Installation

Blinds need enough frame depth for the headrail and for the slats to tilt freely, which is especially important for inside mounts. Our team measures each window, checks depth and clearances, and installs and programs every blind, including grouping and tilt presets. Apollo is based in Brooklyn and installs throughout New York City.
