Custom Sheer Drapes for Soft, Filtered Light
Sheer drapery uses lightweight, translucent fabric to soften daylight rather than block it. Drawn closed, sheers blur the view from outside and spread light gently across the room; drawn open, they frame the window with a light, airy layer of texture.
Custom-made to your measurements, with consultation and installation throughout New York City. Sheers can hang on their own or be layered with blackout drapery or shades, and every panel is built to your exact width and drop.

Sheer Fabrics
Our sheer drapery fabrics range from fine voiles to textured, semi-sheer weaves, and can be paired with linen, velvet, silk-blend or blackout-lined panels for layering. Sheers look very different in daylight, so we recommend ordering samples.
Linen Blend
Natural linen texture with added durability.
Velvet
Rich, heavy drape with excellent light blocking.
Silk Blend
A silk-like drape with a subtle sheen.
Sheer Voile
Lightweight sheer for soft, diffused light.
Blackout Lined
Full blackout with thermal insulation.
Where Sheer Drapery Works Best

Street-level and facing windows
Daytime privacy without closing off the light.
Bedrooms
Layered with blackout panels for a soft look by day and darkness at night.
Dining rooms
Gentle, flattering light and a finished frame for the window.
Hotels and lobbies
Floor-to-ceiling sheers that soften large expanses of glass.
Care & Maintenance
- Shake out or vacuum gently on low suction to remove dust.
- Check the care label; many sheers need gentle or professional cleaning.
- Avoid wringing or twisting, which can crease fine fabric.
- Rehang promptly after cleaning so the folds drop out naturally.
Measuring & Installation
Sheers are often layered, so the measurement plan includes both layers: track or rod positions, clearance between them and how each will stack. Our team measures each opening, plans the hardware and installs everything. Apollo is based in Brooklyn and installs throughout New York City.
