Maximum privacy and glare control.

Strong privacy with some exterior view.

Balanced view, glare and privacy.

Maximum view-through and daylight.

Custom Solar Shades That Keep the View
Solar shades are roller shades made from engineered screen fabrics. The weave is designed with a measured amount of open space, so the shade softens glare and filters sunlight while you can still see out. They are the most practical way to make a bright, sun-facing room comfortable without closing it off.
Custom-made to your measurements, with consultation and installation throughout New York City. You choose the openness, fabric and color, and we build each shade to fit your window precisely. Solar shades can be operated manually or motorized, so a whole wall of glass can be lowered together on a schedule.
What Solar Shades Do Well
- 01
Glare control
Cut harsh light on screens and work surfaces while keeping rooms bright.
- 02
Daytime view-through
Screen weaves let you see outside during the day instead of looking at a closed shade.
- 03
Heat and UV management
Screen fabrics reduce the sunlight and heat that reach floors, furniture and artwork.
- 04
Clean, minimal profile
A slim roller and flat fabric face suit modern windows and large glazing.
- 05
Built for motorization
Group shades by room or facade and control them by remote, app, voice or schedule.

Care & Maintenance
- Dust regularly with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction.
- Wipe marks with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild soap; avoid harsh cleaners.
- Let the fabric dry fully lowered before rolling it up again.
- Do not fold or crease screen fabric; keep it on the roller or lowered.
Measuring & Installation
Solar shades depend on accurate measurements, especially across wide or multi-panel windows where shades need to line up. Our team measures, recommends inside or outside mounting and installs every shade. Apollo custom-fabricates shades in Brooklyn and installs throughout New York City.
