Light Filtering Shades: Soft Daylight with Privacy
Light filtering shades soften and spread daylight across the room while blocking the view in, so living spaces stay bright, comfortable and private during the day.
What light filtering shades do best
Diffused daylight
Harsh sun becomes a soft, even glow without dark corners.
Daytime privacy
People outside see light, not shapes.
Warm, textured fabrics
Linen looks, weaves and solid colors in many weights.
Where light filtering works best
Choose light filtering for living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms and home offices where you want the room to feel bright. Lighter fabrics can show soft silhouettes at night when lights are on inside, so bedrooms often pair them with blackout. Light filtering fabrics are available as roller, Roman and cellular shades; if you want to keep the view out, compare solar shades.
